KQED MOOC on Engaging Students with Digital and Social Media

Dear educators,

This summer, KQED (National Public Radio station in San Francisco) will be launching their first MOOC. #TeachDoNow is a collaborative learning experience where participants will engage in weekly discussions about current issues surrounding education, learn new media-making tools to employ with students, and explore the ways to effectively engage students with issues that matter. The course is from July 7 – August 17 and it is free. You can participate in any way you like and do not need to commit to the entire course.

MOOC Topics include:

  • What media making and social learning tools are best at engaging learners?
  • What are the best strategies for accessing professional learning online?
  • What are your biggest concerns about online safety and digital citizenship in a web-based learning environment?
  • How do you manage learners, tasks, resources, and assessment in a connected learning environment?
