NEW GRANT OPPORTUNITY!!

Linked Learning Pathways to the Baccalaureate 

Extending Linked Learning Programs and Policies to California Community Colleges and the California State University System
________________________________________________________________________

The Calfornia State University (CSU) Office of the Chancellor, with funding from the James Irvine Foundation, invites proposals to develop Linked Learning Pathways to the Baccalaureate.

Community colleges, in partnership with one or more school districts and one or more CSU campuses, are encouraged to submit proposals for pilot projects that explore and test strategies to improve existing career technical education through activities that:
  • Expand Linked Learning principles into post-secondary education .
  • Increase identification of Career Technical Education courses that meet General Education and/or major requirements in preparation for transfer to the CSU.
  • Facilitate and expedite the completion of certificates, and two- and four-year degrees by community colleges and the CSU.
This initiative will focus on strengthening and expanding pathways within three of California's priority industry sectors:
  • Engineering and Design
  • Health Science and Medical Technology
  • Information Technology 
The opportunity provided by the Linked Learning Pathways to the Baccalaureate is a perfect way to support many of the objectives identified in other secondary and post-secondary initiatives aimed at improving college and career success and workforce development, including:
