California "Moves Forward" on Workforce Development
California made significant legislative and administrative progress this year on workforce development policy in the areas of adult education, career pathways, and regional and sector-focused partnerships. The California EDGE Coalition just released a policy brief, Moving Forward: Workforce Development in California, that identifies the key achievements made this year and points to a number of implementation challenges the state faces along with action recommendations to help ensure that California succeeds in transforming a fragmented delivery system into to one that works effectively for students, job-seekers, and employers alike.
