San Jose State Cyber Day Camp April 6th

San Jose State University (SJSU) is teaming up with US Cyber Challenge, Visa and the Bay Area Council to host a series of exciting events aimed at increasing the capacity of the regional cybersecurity workforce.  We are currently recruiting event participants, particularly for the April 6th Day camp.  We would greatly appreciate your assistance in disseminating this information within your networks.

Upcoming opportunities include:  

SJSU Cyber Quests Prep Day Camp: On April 6th, 2013, SJSU will host a day camp where participants can learn the key skills required to score well in the April US Cyber Challenge Cyber Quests (see below).  Top Cyber Quests scorers will earn a spot in the California Cyber Challenge Summer Camp to be held at SJSU in August 2013.  Participants will be required to bring their own laptops.  For more information and to register for this free event, please visit http://www.sjsu.edu/cybersecurity/.  Register early!  Seating is limited.

April US Cyber Challenge Cyber Quests:  Cyber Quests is an online cybersecurity competition.  Top scorers earn a spot in the California Cyber Challenge Summer Camp—held at San José State. Register for Cyber Quests starting on March 29.  More information on Cyber Quests can be found at uscc.cyberquests.org.

US Cyber Challenge, Northern California Cybersecurity Summer Boot Camp:SJSU will host a weeklong boot camp for top Cyber Quests competitors. Participants will work with leaders in the field and learn how to evaluate network security and gain firsthand experience detecting intrusions through simulated attacks. Participants will compete for additional prizes and recognition and meet with representatives from major technology companies and government agencies.  Information on the summer camp at SJSU can be found at www.sjsu.edu/cybersecurity/cyberchallenge/.
