Middle Grades CTE Funding Opportunity
David Militzer reported the release of a new RFA from CDE to distribute funds for the development of middle grades CTE opportunities. The SB70 Middle Grades Career Technical Education and Career Pathways Grant Program provides $1.8 million to fund projects that:
(1) provide career technical education experiences to California middle grades students that encourage them to think about their future and explore a variety of career paths; and
(2) build on the student's eighth grade experiences by developing/ enhancing transition support for student success at the ninth grade level and beyond.
This one-time funding opportunity offers eligible school districts, schools, charter schools, and county offices of education grants ranging from $100,000 to $150,000.
