MPICT Faculty Development Week, June 13-17 in San Francisco

MPICT is again hosting Faculty Development Week, June 13-17, 2011 in San Francisco.  Last year's event was a great success.  More than 70 faculty participated.

Because faculty development and travel resources are still so constrained, qualified community college instructors in ICT related programs may be eligible for stipends or expense reimbursements to attend this event.

Please check out the preliminary agenda, which is available on the MPICT website at www.mpict.org.  It includes preliminary information on location and logistics.

We hope to add one more track soon.  The agenda currently includes:

  1. World Organization of Webmasters:  Aligning and Improving Web Curriculum
  2. Fundamentals of Software Assurance
  3. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  4. To Be Announced Soon

Three pedagogical tracks to impart new teaching and learning skills:

  1. Transforming Instruction with Problem Based Learning
  2. Designing & Using Innovative, Collaborative & Fun Approaches to Teaching & Learning Online
  3. Delivering High Impact, Hybrid Online/In-Person Courses
