Note: CTE programs that do not have annual on-site advisory committee meetings need to have a program faculty representative in attendance to ensure future grant eligibility.
Advisory Board Facilitation:
Vital Link facilitates regional Advisory Boards in Orange County for High School, ROP and Community Colleges tocreate the link between Career Technical Educators and business professionals. The meetings are a source of current industry information that can be brought into classrooms. Industry professionals who participate in the meetings provide information on the skills needed, industry trends, labor statistics and workforce demand, as well as a review of required competencies. Instructors work together to align courses with the ROPs, High Schools, and Community Colleges. Each year, educators and their students benefit from these Advisory Board meetings.
