A new California Community Colleges (CCC) web portal called Sidekick is designed to make the task easier.
Sidekick, at www.ToolsThatInspire.com, brings together six free tools to help CCC faculty, staff and administrators create accessible, inspiring and professional-quality videos and multimedia. The site also contains services to help arrange web conferences, make courses ADA-compliant and enrich the classroom experience for students, said Scott Valverde, a Student Services and Special Programs specialist with the CCC Chancellor’s Office, who introduced the new site in a video blog.
The six programs featured on Sidekick include 3C Media Solutions, CCC Confer, @ONE, The Alternate Text Production Center, High Tech Center Training Unit and the Distance Education Captioning and Transcription service.
