Get your tech on at the Tech Cafe @ BWP 2014!!

This year, BWP is proud to host a new feature, The Tech CafĂ©. Our work and our customers’ services are increasingly powered by online tools and technology. The Employment Development Department’s Workforce Services Division and Labor Market Information Division as well as the California Community College Chancellor’s Office have generously assigned staff to attend BWP, host training workshops and provide onsite troubleshooting and advice throughout the conference. Sessions will include training on:
  • The CA Career Zone - Career exploration for job seekers and students
  • The Doing What Matters for Job and the Economy Website - The Community College Chancellor's comprehensive guide to regional training and resources in every key sector
  • The new LMID Regional Planning Tool - Identifying in demand occupations and industries throughout the region, connecting to workforce partners
  • The new CalJOBS - module 1A functions for Business Services and One Stop Career Centers
This is a critical moment in California and the country’s recovery from the “great recession”. Local workforce development and education agencies, labor and employers are engaging each other as never before in new partnerships and practices. Join us to learn and to share real and practical partnerships and practices that focus on “shared prosperity” - a strong, dynamic economy that fosters greater health, broader security, increased equality, and more fairly distributed growth.
