The long-awaited RFA for the California
Career Pathways Trust (CCPT) funded by AB86 was released today. This is
a major step toward helping to keep more California students in school and
better prepare them for careers and well-paying jobs as schools and education
agencies across the state can now apply for $250 million in grants available from
the CCPT fund. The request for applications (RFA) for programs designed to
build seamless pathways between schools, higher education, and careers was
announced by State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Torlakson and
Senate President pro Tempore Darrell Steinberg.
Letters of intent to apply are due February 14, 2014 and the
applications are due March 28, 2014. Several application workshops
are scheduled through the month of February.
