The League for Innovation is pleased to announce its Call for Proposals for the 2012 STEMtech conference, an international convening focused on increasing student success in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The STEM-related tracks focus on improving STEM education and better aligning educational systems with each other and local workforce needs. The tech-related tracks focus on technology systems and applications and technology's role in the teaching and learning processes. Faculty members, administrators, government officials, community and business/industry representatives, and others involved in STEM education and information technology at all levels are invited to share their research, best practices, and other ideas with their colleagues from around the world. |
Proposals to present at the 2012 STEMtech conference are being accepted now through April 13, 2012, for the following conference tracks:
| Of particular interest are proposals about implementing STEM education in a manner that reflects the interdependence of STEM subjects, as well as proposals about partnerships involving school districts, community colleges, four-year institutions, and business and industry to provide a comprehensive community-based approach to STEM education. |
