IBM Academic Initiative "Modernize Your Enterprise Systems Curriculum" Webinar


"The IBM Academic Initiative System z team is pleased to invite you to a special 90 minute online webcast entitled  "Modernize Your Enterprise Systems Curriculum." This session will be held on Thursday, January 12th, from 10:00 - 11:30 AM ET. Join the Academic Initiative to see (and hear) how the latest versions of the IBM Rational tools - and in particular Rational Developer for System z, Rational Asset Analyzer and Rational Developer for System z Unit Test - can help you modernize the experience of learning z/Enterprise in the classroom. This session is being recorded and will be available for playback.

This 90 minute session will feature Jon Sayles:
author and technical enablement specialist for IBM Rational, as he presents an approach to learning about z/Enterprise solutions using tools that present z/OS software solutions through modern IDEs - as agile development environments.

         Rational Develop for System z - for modernizing z/OS development
         and application maintenance - teaching z/OS application
         development skills, programming in COBOL, JCL, CICS, IMS, Web
         Service (SOA) and testing
         Rational Asset Analyzer - for teaching the nature of business
         applications software components, and doing effective application
         maintenance
         Rational Developer for System z Unit Test - for agile z/OS
         development - and teaching MVS Systems Programming skills
