Saw a cool student engagement and higher learning tool in the American Distance Education Consortium (ADEC) meeting at the Computer Using Educators conference.
Voicethread is a tool for getting students to engage in discussion from anywhere at any time over questions, scenarios or problems you present to them in a variety of formats, including video and graphics. Students can collaborate using text, voice or video, from fixed or mobile devices.
It causes students to use higher order thinking skills to truly embed knowledge, while using interacticity experiences and ICT tools that appeal to them and engage them.
