Dare 2B Digital (D2BD) Conference on Careers for Young Women Using Computing Technologies

The 2nd Annual Dare 2B Digital (D2BD) Conference on Careers for Young Women using Computing Technologies will take place on Saturday, February 12, 2011, 9:00 – 3:30 pm at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California.  http://www.dare2bdigitalconference.com/
  • This one-day event for young women in the 7-10 grades is aimed squarely at the next generation of San Francisco Bay Area entrepreneurs and technologists;
  • Local technologists from companies like Cisco, IBM and Microsoft will teach sessions including: Robotics, How to Create Your Own Movie, Basic Computer Programming and more;
  • Students will have the opportunity to participate in a scavenger hunt taking place in the brand new Revolution Exhibit opening at the museum in January 2011;
  • Parents can attend sessions on Financing College Education, Online Safety and Handling Teen Stress and visit the new exhibit;
  • The event is sponsored by local tech companies
