Udacity Nanodegrees in ICT Announced

We created Udacity to spread great education, so as many people as possible can live better lives. More often than not, this starts with having a great job. So getting you ready for a job you love in technology has been our steadfast obsession.

The challenge is that technology changes fast, faster than ever actually. The skills you learned in school may not be the ones you need going forward. Like most, you may not have the luxury to go back to school full time. Still, you need to learn — even when you are busy — the skills that match the needs of today's and tomorrow’s careers.

Today, we are proud to announce nanodegrees. They'll bring you, starting this Fall, a new kind of compact, hands-on, and flexible online curriculum. They are designed to help you effectively learn the most in-demand skills, when you need them, so that you can land your dream job.

They are developed by our partners: top companies in Silicon Valley and beyond. We believe they know best what matters to find a job in the tech industry. They build curricula in part for their own employees. They also want to offer learning opportunities so more can qualify for their jobs.

AT&T is our first partner in this journey. With them, we are developing nanodegrees for entry-level Front-End Web Developers, Back-End Web Developers, and Mobile iOS Developers. As a sign of their commitment to place people in jobs, AT&T is reserving 100 internships to graduates of these programs.

We’re also announcing a nanodegree for Data Analysts with courses from Cloudera, MongoDB, AT&T, and instructors from Facebook.

Rest assured that more nanodegrees will follow.

We are very excited about this new program. I encourage you to learn more here.

Keep learning,

Sebastian Thrun
